Women’s History Month began with a “Getting to Know You” activity in the Life Options Program. Staff and program participants interviewed one another, discovering new, fun, and exciting things about each other.
This was followed by our Women’s History Catwalk Celebration, hosted by Tialy and Tyquan. The event began with everyone going around the room to share stories about women in their lives who have made a meaningful impact.
The celebration continued with a vibrant women’s catwalk, where participants walked to songs of their choice performed by female artists. It was a day filled with energy, connection, and appreciation for women from all walks of life.
Life Options Program Coordinator, Cherie Crosdale reports, “We closed by giving each program participant and staff roses as a show of our support and appreciation.”
Now that is a great way to celebrate women and learn about their contributions to our lives and to history!
