Community-Based Day Hab Potluck Luncheon: A True Celebration!

Community-Based Day Hab hosted a Potluck luncheon in the Auditorium on March 20.

Snow and blizzards caused the postponement of the event a couple times but having it today on the first day of Spring was just perfect.  The theme celebrated was Women’s History Month with a dash of St. Patrick’s Day!

The food was delicious and plentiful!  It was made by staff, participants and family members with each tray sporting a mini-sign indicating what the dish was and the chefs who prepared it!

Highlight of the afternoon was the participant performances that reflected a positive and confident spirit through readings, dance and song.  Information about special inventions made by women as far back as the 1800s were featured on each table including Nancy Johnson, inventor of ice cream, Mary Anderson; inventor of windshield wipers and Josephine Cochrane who brough us the dishwasher!

Thank you and congratulations to the staff of Community-Based Day Hab who worked very hard and created a celebration that made many people feel the joy of a new season!  Spring is here!
