Close to 200 people attended the Sugar Plum Ball at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, NY.  Each young lady was welcomed by the Sugar Plum Fairy who presented her with a pretty wrist corsage. CP Nassau Executive Director, Bob McGuire welcomed everyone and thanked them for their support and invited them to watch a video about a special program called MOVE (Mobility Opportunities Via Education.)

Then the girls and their Dads and Grandpas danced the hours away and enjoyed a magic show by John Reid, followed by an excerpt of the Nutcracker ballet performed by the troupe from Leggz Ltd. Dance of Rockville Centre.  Everyone enjoyed the sit down meal and got back to dancing and having fun!  Isabella Griffith, Miss Teen New York, USA made a special guest appearance and greeted the girls and signed autographs.  News 12 was on hand to cover the fun!  Lots of wonderful prizes were raffled off to some lucky winners!  This magical day ended all too soon as each girl left with a magic wand, a gorgeous silver necklace and a yummy chocolate lollipop from Fitz Cakes in her gift bag!  Thank you to all who attended and to our sponsors, James C.  Herrmann & Associates, Old Mill Nurseries, LI Speech Services of Long Island, Leggz Ltd. Dance and Sandy’s Party Supply.  We also thank our event volunteers and the staff at the Crest Hollow Country Club!
