Stitch Together LI was formed by Keta Graber in March when her sister, Becky Morgan, a pharmacy rep in California called and said that doctor’s offices were not able to get PPEs on the West coast and asked if that was happening in New York. Keta tried to find a local group creating masks without success. She looked on a Facebook site called “What I Need” and saw an assisted living center was looking for 100 masks, and so “Stitch Together LI “was formed! Their primary goal is to create a group of stitchers on LI that could meet the needs of essential workers in our community here on Long Island. The group has grown incredibly to now include over 2,200 members who have stitched over 50,000 masks!

Karen Kiefel, one of Board members and very dedicated volunteers connected with Keta and now, after a few pick-ups in Huntington Station, CP Nassau has close to 2,000 hand stitched masks that will be put to very good use!

Stitched Together Long Island, we are so grateful to you all, thank you for sharing your time, talents and hearts with us.
