Megan Manning, a Physical Therapist at the Children’s Learning Center at the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, Inc. was honored the Society of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick at the University Club at Hofstra University on April 18th.  Megan was nominated by Susan Gordon Ryan, the founder of the Empire State Games for the Physically Challenged for all her dedication and work with children with developmental disabilities.

Dermot Kelly served as host for the evening and Bob McGuire, Executive Director of the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County introduced Megan and provided a beautiful and moving tribute to her.  Megan herself then delivered a beautiful speech about her love for CP Nassau and all the children and adults who participate in programs there.  Terrific entertainment was provided by the Nassau County Police Pipe Band and the Black Velvet band.   Over 200 guests were in attendance and all proceeds from the event will go towards the Empire State Games for the Physically Challenged.
