is the nourishment the soul requires.

Welcome to CP Nassau’s Volunteer Corner!

Welcome current and prospective volunteers to the Volunteer Center at the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County (CP Nassau). Whether you have been consistently volunteering with the agency for many years or this happens to be your first step inquiring about a possible volunteer opportunity, we thank you. Your interest, invaluable time, and efforts are essential to CP Nassau’s ability to carry out its mission. Both the people who work here at CP Nassau and the individuals we serve are grateful for your support. Your volunteerism is essential in our day to day efforts to keep our promise of providing highest quality services to the children and adults we assist.

Here at CP Nassau, we provide programs and services for over 1,500 children and adults.  Among those programs, the opportunities to help others through volunteerism are essentially endless. In addition, approximately 10 exciting events annually which could always use a helping hand.  So whether you love Christmas and would like to help with the Festival of Trees, or you’d like to spend a day at the golf course, we are always looking for assistance.

If you seek to provide volunteer work Monday through Friday or several hours during your free time, all efforts are appreciated and make a difference! Volunteering in an area in which you are passionate about allows you to devote your time to a cause that holds a special place in your heart while spreading that passion to others.

Whatever your reason may be for your volunteer work, those who reap the benefits are simply happy that you did so. If you are apprehensive about volunteering due to a lack of experience or knowledge of the agency and the services we provide- don’t be. “No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who isn’t trying”- Tony Robbins.

A desire to help and make a difference is the only prerequisite required for volunteers at CP Nassau. Our volunteers are admired for their hard work on a regular basis. Building a partnership with CP Nassau as a volunteer will open your mind and more importantly your heart to the good a simple deed can do for someone in need. Remember that your devotion and time is providing a lasting impact on the individuals within our agency. Your dedication and hard work is fundamental to the longevity and success of CP Nassau.

As the Coordinator of Volunteers I welcome all individuals who wish to assist.
