Message from the Executive Director – Robert McGuire

Welcome to the CP Nassau Website.  I thank you for taking the time to visit our site and learn more about all that is happening at the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County.   We just completed the celebration of our 70th anniversary year and are excited to continue our mission of providing the highest quality programs and services for the children and adults in our programs.  Please visit our website often and our CP Nassau Facebook page for updates!

You probably came to the site for a specific reason and I hope you find the information you are looking for.  If for some reason you need more information, contact me and I will put you in touch with the correct person or department.  While the site will give you a glimpse of what our Agency has to offer, I invite you to visit and tour our facility and see our people and programs in action.  I guarantee you that you will be impressed and motivated to get involved with us!

I encourage you to look at:

Programs and Services – including information about our school, The Children’s Learning Center, Adult Programs, Psychology and Traumatic Brain Injuries programs, Residential programs, Medical department along with information about our Thunderbolts Sports Team.

The ABOUT section – Here you will find details about our rich history, you can view a selection of terrific videos, view past annual reports, see our Leadership Team and find a staff and department directory.

The GIVING section – find information about volunteering, our estate planning and planned giving effort, see our Wish List of items various departments have requested, and find out about Sponsorship Opportunities.

EVENTS in this section you can find out about Agency events that take place year-round.  I hope you will consider attending or participating in some way.  We depend on our friends in the community to make our events successful!

AUXILIARIES – Here you will learn about the great work done by our Council of Auxiliaries.  This amazing group of women have helped the Agency carry out its mission through dedicated volunteer service since 1951.   The Council hosts a variety of events annually and new members of all ages are always welcome.

CAREERS – Here you will find current job openings and employment opportunities at CP Nassau.  We employ close to 900 people in a wide array of jobs.  Consider joining us and make a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities!

Again, my thanks for your time and interest.  I welcome the opportunity to tell you more about CP Nassau!

Best regards,

Bob McGuire
