CP Nassau 5K Walk, Run, Roll, Stroll is this SUNDAY:  Nov, 3, 2019

Rain or Shine at Eisenhower Park

I hope you are getting excited about Generosity Long Island, this Sunday!! Below you will find day of details as provided by the GENEROSITY SERIES people who are organizing everything.

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME: Keep in mind that we change the clocks Saturday night, the good news is that we get an hour extra of sleep.

Generosity Long Island is so close, you can feel it. Here’s everything you need to know for an amazing day. 

What: Generosity Long Island 5K Run/Walk. You and hundreds of other generous and amazing participants raising over $100,000 for organizations that are changing the world.

When: Sunday November 3rd. RAIN OR SHINE at Eisenhower Park, East Meadow, NY

T-Shirt and bib pickup starts at 7:30 am. Arrive early to have your picture taken by our professional photographers, enjoy tunes spun by our live dj, a group stretch and warmup and the famous Wheel of Generosity where we distribute even more funds to our lucky winning organizations. The 5K Run/Walk starts 9 am.

Where: Eisenhower Park. Park in Parking Lot 2 (directions below), Staging area is a two minute walk.

A few important points:

  1. Registration closes Thursday night at 9 pm.
  2. Participants should check-in at the CP Nassau Table in the Charity Village at Eisenhower Park.

 

Getting There: 

From the West

Meadowbrook N  to Exit M4 (NY 24W toward Hempstead/Nassau Coliseum)

Follow Signs for Eisenhower Park

Keep left at the fork to Stewart Avenue

Stay on Stewart through Merrick Avenue where road name changes to Park Boulevard

Follow Park Boulevard around past Parking Lot 7 to Parking Lot 2 on the right

If you hit Hempstead Turnpike, you went too far

From the East

Meadowbrook S  to Exit M3W to Stewart Avenue

Left on Stewart Avenue

(NY 24W toward Hempstead/Nassau Coliseum)

Stay on Stewart through Merrick Avenue where road name changes to Park Boulevard

Follow Park Boulevard around past Parking Lot 7 to Parking Lot 2 on the right

If you hit Hempstead Turnpike, you went too far

 

A few extra pieces of info:

Strollers: Strollers are permitted on the course and children three years and under do not need to be registered if they are in a stroller being pushed by a registered participant.

Dogs: Dogs are permitted but must be controlled and leashed at all times.

Refreshment: Water and a snack will be provided but you are welcome to bring additional food and drinks.

Friends and Family: bring out your friends and family to cheer you on, you deserve it! However, due to insurance restrictions, only registered participants can enter the Start and Finish chutes. Those that are not registered can join participants after they have left the Start chute and must exit the course before the Finish chute begins.

Awards: After the run/walk, the top three overall fundraisers will receive awards and the top fundraiser for each organization will be recognized with a World Changer badge. The top three overall male and female finishers will receive awards and the top three male and female finishers in ten age groups will receive medals.
