On November 30, Mary C. Hodge was among an elite group of women who were selected by the Schneps Communications Group and the Long Island Press to be recognized as part of the Long Island Power Women honorees.  Victoria-Schneps-Yunis, the Publisher commented,” We are so pleased to acknowledge the many extraordinary achievements of the women we are honoring.  These fabulous women have been so successful because they have a passion for what they do.  It is my privilege to recognize them.”

50 women were honored at this networking and dinner event that was attended by close to 400 people.  Mary Hodge was honored for her work at the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County for her 30 years of work with individuals with disabilities as the Coordinator of Community-Based Day Hab  and as the Head Coach of the Nassau Thunderbolts Sports Team.  Mary was also honored for her with the U.S. Paralympics as a Head Coach and for her work locally and around the globe with soldiers with disabilities.  Coaches and athletes from the Thunderbolts along with Bob McGuire, CP Nassau Executive Director; Karen-Geller-Hittleman, Assistant Executive Director; Sharon Rothstein, Director of Adult  Day Services and other co-workers and friends were on hand to pay tribute to Mary and join in the wonderful celebration!
