Assemblywoman Melissa Miller hosted a great event at Parise Park in Cedarhurst in October.  CP Nassau joined about 25 other organizations that provide services for children and adults with disabilities.  Our talented singers known as Creation provided some terrific entertainment for all and had people of all ages and abilities up dancing!  We thank Assemblywoman Miller for her great devotion to helping individuals with disabilities and their families and we salute her for this opportunity to meet and talk with new friends in the community!

In November Senator John Brooks and County Legislator Kevan Abrahams sponsored a Special Needs Resource Fair.  CP Nassau was the host site for this informative event.  CP Nassau was well represented with staff from the Children’s Learning Center and Adult Day Services on hand to offer information and answer questions.  There were about a dozen organizations offering information on therapy services, transition programs, independent living, recreation programs and more.  It was a great fair that provided helpful information to many visitors.  Thank you to Senator Brooks and Legislator Abrahams for organizing this valuable day.
