Wednesday, July 12th, is the National Call-In Day to protect Medicaid against the radical changes proposed in the draft Better Care Reconciliation Act (BCRA).
A new version of the bill may come to the Senate for a vote as early as next week!
The Senate has said that they will remain in session for the first two weeks in August, rather than leaving for their home states, in order to work out a health care bill. Since every version of the Republican Health care bill would be devastating to New Yorkers with disabilities, it is important to let Senator Schumer and Senator Gillibrand know that they must continue to oppose these bills and fight for all New Yorkers. We must stand together and tell Congress that Medicaid cuts will harm people with disabilities.
Go to http://www.accses.org/action-center to tell Senators Schumer and Gillibrand: “Thank you and keep fighting for New York. VOTE NO on the BCRA!”
Today is a combined action of many national disability organizations.
Make your voice heard!
